LANI SUMMERS (Yoga Instructor /Body Awareness)
Lani has been practicing yoga for 20 years, and has been teaching for nine years.
Initially her interest was sparked through the pursuit of Ayurvedic studies, the ancient Indian art of holistic integrated wellbeing. This led to the study of yoga therapy Iyengar, Integral and Satyananda, then onto yoga teacher training.
Lani has a unique approach, that is very much from an integrated systems thinking model, including inner and outer awareness and macro and micro perspectives.
Spiritually, Politically, socially and physically active in this and the greater community Lani will endeavor to contribute to the growth of every facet of your being.
The yoga taught during this course is to support the postures learnt in the massage, both giving and receiving. The focus is on core strength, flexibility and, of course, on supporting the mind in being receptive to learning.
Rather than go hard, she encourages participants to go deep. If people have illnesses or injuries Lani adapts the practice for those people.
An awareness of body, mind and breath help in the unfurling of the relationship of self in context of a greater Oneness.
Lani will challenge and philosophise you to a depth of understanding, or at the very least, she will stretch and strengthen you into vibrancy.
